Ideal location of the bed according to feng shui based on the compass

Ideal Feng Shui bed locations differ based on a person's Kua number when we use themEight Feng Shui Mansions. (Note that Eight Mansions is just a feng shui school. I personally useFeng Shui with flying starsand other schools in lieu of Eight Mansions. However, I bring the Eight Mansions practice as an example to illustrate a point). To elaborate, your Kua number is determined by your gender and year of birth, and determines things like ideal bed placement. If you don't know your Kua number, you can use itthis calculatordiscover.

After figuring out your Kua, write down your lucky and unlucky directions. You will use them for the placement of your bed.

Next, use your bedroom plan and divide itaccording to the eight cardinal points. It is like cutting a pizza as shown in the following image:

Feng Shui Bed Placement Rules: Which Ones Should You Use? (1)

The general rule is that your bed should be placed in your lucky or "auspicious" areas. For example, the bed of a person with Kua number 8 should be placed in the western part of the bedroom.

Although there are slight variations from the ideal placement depending on the Kua and gender of the person, you should be fine if you simply follow the general rule of thumb mentioned above.

5 Feng Shui Bed Locations to Avoid Form-Based

Now that you know the ideal bed placement, let me tell you where NOT to put your bed.

Here are the rules, tips, and remedies you probably know about. These rules are the ones that are likely to conflict with the ideal bed placement, as mentioned above.

1.Avoid empty spaces between the headboard and the wall

Surely you have heard it a thousand times: "The head of the bed should be placed against a wall".

(Video) How to locate your Bed in your bedroom using Fengshui

Feng Shui Bed Placement Rules: Which Ones Should You Use? (2)

The reason for this placement is that you feel supported. It is a feeling of security, similar to sitting with a wall behind your back.

Diagonal locations should be avoided as they form a triangular void when viewed from above.

According to some experts, this creates dilemmas in relationships. You will find yourself in a relationship where you do not love your partner or vice versa. Or maybe you are in a situation where you are in love, but circumstances make it difficult for the two of you to be together.

heal: Place a heavy piece of furniture behind the head of your bed that mimics a wall. It makes you feel supported and makes you feel more secure when you sleep.

2.Avoid the door leading to the bed. Immediately

Again, you've probably heard this a thousand times, and some of you might refer to it as the famous "coffin position." This term gets its name from the practice of carrying the dead through open doors, either head first or feet first.

The "coffin position" is when your feet are on the bed facing the door.

Feng Shui Bed Placement Rules: Which Ones Should You Use? (4)

But that applies to all positions. That means you don't just sleep with your feet in the door. As long as the door faces the bed, the bed's location is not optimal in terms of feng shui. Placing your bed in line with the door puts you squarely in the path of the energy flowing through the doorway that can disturb your sleep.

This rule also applies to all doors, e.g. B. the bathroom door (if your bedroom is a master bedroom).

HeThe toilet is known for bad feng shui.. It contains odors, moisture, and bacteria that can affect both your sleep and your health.

If the bathroom door faces the bed, some experts say it can attract romantic relationships that are harmful to you. In other words, you find yourself in scenarios where you tend to find the "wrong" partner.

heal: The simple remedy is to put a curtain on the door or just keep the bathroom door closed. You can also try hanging a mirror on the inside of your bathroom door so that negative energy is reflected off it.

3.Avoid putting the bed under the beam.

Many feng shui experts agree that a person should not sit or sleep under the beam. This is because the rays produce aSubconscious feeling of being suppressed.

The lower, larger, or more prominent the jet, the greater the "push" of qi it exerts on you. This feeling is similar to the feeling you get when you are under a very low ceiling.

Although some people have trouble sleeping under beams, I've found that not everyone does. Some people (like me) sleep well under beams. Some elders argued that physical strength and youth had a lot to do with it.

heal: You can use a canopy bed with a covered top. Experts have said that the extra layer is meant to block lightning qi.

4.Avoid the head of the bed under the window.

I wrote a whole post about it.Why you shouldn't sleep with your head under a window.

(Video) Feng Shui Do’s and Don’ts for the Bedroom | Avoid these Taboos! | Julie Khuu

In short, the qi coming through the window interrupts your sleep. This qi consists mainly of smells, sounds and light that can enter through the window. To give you more context, these can range from animal movements, the smell of cigarettes from your neighbors, and the wind that can give you a headache. Getting in the way of these energies can make restful sleep difficult and lead to a general feeling of restlessness, so it's best to move the bed away from this area.

heal: You can use heavier blinds, double-glazed windows or a tall, solid headboard.

5.Avoid head on the same side of the door, bathroom or kitchen.

Many of us know that the bed should be placed in the "command position". That means the door must be visible in your line of sight when you are lying on your bed.

If that's not possible, you should do it.Avoid putting the head of your bed against the same wall as the door.. This is because the sound, movement, and vibration of the door opening and closing have a huge impact on how you rest.

This also makes sense from a practical point of view, as there is usually a walkway on the other side of the wall with the door. The movement of people (or pets) along this walkway tends to disturb your sleep. This assumes, of course, that you share a room with someone or that other family members live with you.

The same goes for the toilet, where the toilet flush gets exponentially stronger. Sometimes you just get mad when you hear water flowing through the pipes.

When it comes to cooking, some say that the energy from the kitchen stove fire can cause insomnia. Also, if your bed and kitchen share the same wall, the noise from the refrigerator and other activities in the kitchen will be louder.

heal: A strong, solid headboard does most of the work, canceling out much of the noise coming from the other side of the wall.

Which bed placement rule should you prioritize?

Some of you may have noticed this: if you place the bed in an ideal position according to the compass, the bed could be placed in a bad position according to the forms.

For example, your happy direction may be west, but placing your bed there means the door faces the bed. Or you may have trouble deciding whether to put the bed under the window or face the door.

Here are 3 scenarios to help you understand which bed placement rules to prioritize.

Scenario 1: Choosing between ideal bed locations and choosing which locations to avoid

Here's the scenario: If you place your bed in an ideal position based on your Kua number, you'll also end up placing it in a place to avoid.

For example, you want the bed to face east, but then you lose your "command position" as the door faces the bed.

Feng Shui Bed Placement Rules: Which Ones Should You Use? (6)

If you really have to choose, consider giving up your ideal bed placement and consider which bed locations to avoid. This applies in particular if:

  1. The door leads to your bed.
  2. The head of the bed has no support.

But it doesn't always have to be that way.

By applying the above cures, you can definitely get your bed in the ideal position.

For example, to place your bed in an ideal location, you may need a room divider (for a bed that faces the door) and a strong, solid headboard (since the head of the bed shares the same wall as the lavatory).

Just remember not to overdo it. Don't overdo it just to get your bed in an ideal position. This is because if you use too many remedies, you can disturb the flow of qi in the bedroom. You will get upset and your bedroom will seem less spacious and less comfortable.

Scenario 2: Choosing between the ideal position of two people

This is especially true for married couples who share a bed.

(Video) the principles behind where to place a bed in a room with examples

For example, let's say your Kua number is 8. Your lucky areas are in the West. You share your bed with your partner whose Kua number is 1 with lucky zones to the east. Whose Kua number should be used for the ideal location of the bed?

In this case, you should consider using the woman's Kua. That's because both the bedroom and the woman belong to yin (using the yin-yang theory, where men belong to yang). For this reason, the woman's kua takes precedence in the placement of the bed.

For younger couples, positioning the bed in favor of the woman's kua may also help the woman conceive.

Scenario 3 – When the bed is placed in both happy and unhappy areas

What happens when a bed occupies the north and northwest areas of the house? (Or north and northeast? South and southwest?) This is quite common when your bed takes up most of your bedroom.

Feng Shui Bed Placement Rules: Which Ones Should You Use? (7)

This is a problem because north is a lucky direction for people who have Kua numbers 1, 3, 4, 9, while northeast is the unlucky area for the same group of people. If you're looking for something more unique and accurate than Kua numbers, think again.Usa tu Bazi para el Feng Shui. Essentially, Bazi delves into your nature and charts your life milestones based on your 4 pillars.

In this case, the head of the bed has priority. In other words, just make sure that the head of your bed is in your lucky range based on your Kua number.

Once again, don't overdo it and force the placement of this bed. You should still put the head of the bed against the wall and keep the door from facing the bed. See scenario #1 above.

An advice

I have seen many people who are not trained in feng shui misinterpret feng shui rules and sweat over things that are completely unnecessary. For example, even if a door faces the bed, in the coffin position this is NOT as bad as one might think, as there are other factors to consider.

As I have always suggested, it isIt is always better to consult an expert than to do it yourself. The reason is that I have seen many people follow simple feng shui tips and end up doing themselves more harm than good.

What is the best location for the bed?

In the feng shui bedroom, the location of the pest for the bed depends on the layout of the room: where the windows are located, the beam, the bathroom or the corridor. After looking at the layout, you should consider your personal kua and auspicious directions when practicing the Eight Mansions school of feng shui.

What is the best orientation for your bed?

In feng shui there is no best direction for your bed, as it all depends on the layout of the bedroom, the layout of the house, and the area around the house.

What is the death position of a bed in feng shui?

The death position of a bed in feng shui is when the foot of the bed faces the door. This is also known as the "coffin position" because it is similar to carrying a dead man through the front door.

Diploma

Some bed locations to be avoided take precedence over the desired bed location based on direction. For example, you should choose to place the head of your bed against the wall, even if it means placing it in your unlucky range based on your Kua number. In other cases, placing the bed in the woman's happiness zone takes precedence over her male counterpart.

As you can see, there are countless variations, conflicts, and remedies for proper feng shui bed placement. That iswhy you should consult a feng shui expert instead of trying to apply feng shui yourselfand you canFind and consult an expert of your choice here. The alternative to hiring an expert isAttend courses and learn Feng Shui yourself.

(Side note: In my experience, the Eight Mansions feng shui practice mentioned in this article is a hit or miss. If you're looking for a classic feng shui practice that really gets results, you can use mine.Bedroom feng shui consulting service.)

Also, the placement of the bed is only one small aspect of feng shui. So don't be surprised if not much has changed if your bed placement follows proper feng shui rules.

If you really want feng shui to change your life, you need a thorough analysis of the surroundings and interior of the house. Once again, you need the help of a professional doctor.
